Definitely think this’ll be one of the later ones added in for sure, although I do have to say I think it’ll be a fucking mess if played with 128 players. So many chokepoints in that map with far less players. But still it’s probably the first map that comes to mind for most when thinking about BF3.

Oh you know it’s going to be a shit show. On the last game that had a version of Op Metro (they did the WW2 version which I actually really enjoyed) it was 64p and that was insane. They did, however, add in some alternate routes to bypass the plethora of fatal funnels.
Op Metro is a great map. The last place I’d ever want to fight in an urban environment is a collapsing subway station that’s not only flooded, but packed to the brim with bad guys (be it russians or nazis). Op Metro is truthfully terrifying when you put it into the context of actual military operations. It’s basically a no win setup, strategically.
I really think the only way they’d be able to end a prolonged firefight like Op Metro is to hit the park above the station with a bunker buster and just buried all those russians down there. Fuck it, you can have the dumb station.
That said, I don’t understand why DICE never really expanded that map, they could easily push the subway area out further, and expand the topside map as well. There is even a massive Paris map that attaches to Op Metro’s area from the single player in BF3 (if you remember the mission with the nuke).
I’d love to see an updated and expanded Op Metro in the future.

Op Metro is coming. Didn;t they have a version of op Metro in BFv? i’m almost certain they did. Metro is to BF4 what Shipment is to COD. you’re gonna see it at some point.

Yeah and it was fantastic. They added new avenues of ingress into the back of the station too. I’m still salty they fucked up BFV as much as they did.
For that brief month after the Pacific update, it was absolutely perfectly balanced.

Ohh right I forgot. Op metro is such a Gosh darn Meat grinder but hell, isn’t it fun. It’s the kinda chaos you just cant have in a cod game. Warzone to me was fun for like 3 months, what the heck makes people keep going back?
It’s THE thing for a lot of younger gamers, I think. We didn’t really grow up with the battle royale format being the dominant game mode in most games, and in fact I’d say they are bias towards it in the same way we are bias towards say, Rush or Conquest, right?
Did you guys see anything about the story in 2042? It actually sounds pretty interesting, if you haven’t checked out the 2042 site, they have been updating it with tons of lore and backstory. Really enjoying it so far.

I get EA have has said this is an old version Beta and most issues being mentioned have already been fixed but it just doesn’t feel right. I don’t know if I’m getting it at launch, now. I’ll see how the portal side of the game fares with the player base.
Also fuck the plus system.

Actually I take it back, I could have worded that much better tbh. It’s not so much the plus system but from what I can see I can only adjust my attachments via the plus system in game and not during deployment. Spawning in with bare weapons and having to adjust attachments if I’ve swapped equipment/class isn’t ideal. Unless you can and I’m just an idiot for not seeing it.
I’ve not played since BF1 so my complaints are a bit invalid compared to others tbh.
Not going to lie, not really stoked for this after playing the beta.
It needs…so much work.

The Specialist system needs to go. I can see myself just sticking to the Portal part of the game if the class system remains intact.

I’m not sure if I’ll even get it for that, sadly, if they don’t iron out the controls and gunplay.

Dice said all that stuff in the beta was old and it’s all addressed in the new game…if this is the case then why didn’t they give us a recent build? it’s basically have a “gotcha” pic on a dating profile and then showing up looking like tony soprano.
I’m giving this game a month i think before i pick it up. I just need to see what the fans have to say about this. Now if portal is legit it’s a buy for me.
Have you seen the new Specialists? Ooof. I don’t get how Dice thinks there is balance there. I envisage lobbies being full of people playing as “Ji-Soo Paik” and it being complete and utter carnage.
The main reason I wanted a PS5 and I’m probably now going to avoid it lol.

At this point i’m only hyped for Portal. dice could have done their dumb specialist thing without giving them names or making them somewhat customizable. special abilities are so dumb, grappling hooks? Please just give me portal.

We’ve seen some rough Battlefield launches, but this might take the cake…
My girlfriend actually won it in some facebook competition. I have it free (cost her £5 to enter), I played it for 35 minutes and still feel scammed.
