Holy shit this is the worst Playstation Showcase I’ve ever sat through. 25 mins through and it’s been nothing but dreadful. I just want a Tekken or Spider-Man 2 trailer!!!

I thought Phantom Blade 0 looked sick but yeah, so far an underwhelming showcase.
Yeah this was the most impressive thing in that segment. I guess they were getting a lot of the much less excitable titles out of the way and then began all the big hitters after MGS3. Idk about that for pacing personally lmao. Maybe a bad choice.
On another note, Ralph Ineson has such a sexy voice idec.
Yeah, getting into all the sequels now. Alan Wake 2, AC: Mirage and Final Fantasy XVI looking hype.
Really hoping for Spider-Man 2 to close the show.

Honestly, everything I saw has made me want to get a ps5 even less now. They thought this was exciting? I’ll wait for more mgs3 gameplays and trailers before I get excited
I think I saw enough to be invested in to save the showcase from being among the worst I’ve ever seen. That said, the majority of what’s got me hyped already got announced a while ago i.e Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy XVI, Spider-Man 2 and AC: Mirage. Nice to see some release dates for the most part, and Spider-Man 2 looks like it’s going to be sensational.
In terms of new announcements, it’s only really MGS3 remake and Phantom Blade 0 that have piqued my interest. I’m sure Dragon’s Dogma 2 will get fans of the original buzzing too.

I found that I had to wait for subscription to expire (which it thankfully did a few days ago) because I wanted to downgrade from Premium to Extra, but whilst my Premium subscription was still active, it was only allowing me to extend my Premium subscription and not downgrade.

Seems to be a purely esthetic update. And looking at the disc version I think it looks worse actually, the drive is more pronounced now. The digital looks great and I love that it´s smaller, but curse the digitization of games…
Edit:
Replacable disc drive also seems like a huge plus. Back in the day on PS3, you couldn´t just swap it without the model number and hardware connection hassle.

Honestly I thought I’d be more annoyed when the Slim got announced than I am. It’s actually not really making me think “Oh damn!” In the slightest. The original looks nicer without the more pronounced disk drive, as you said.
I am surprised at how soon it’s come out though! I offer a formal apology to EVERYONE at how soon it came out, having read insider articles for so long, I was convinced it was way off still.

Yeah. I’m happy I waited until the PRO went on sale before I got a PS4, likely will do the same with the PS5 now and build a PC in the meantime. I desperately need to upgrade to a more powerful setup now since we’re going to be doing videos, and I’d like to be able to use stable diffusion without dealing with the nanny state bullshit the free one’s are gripped by. And, there still isn’t quite enough games in the library I’m dying to play. At current it’s Cyberpunk, Rogue City, and Toxic Commando.

The GOAT. The original Battlefront games, Persona 3 and 4, Tekken 4 and 5, Soul Reaver 2, some honestly astounding tie-in movie games with Lord of the Rings: Two Towers and Return of the King, Tony Hawk, MGS, SSX Tricky. God, what a time to be alive and experience such a high point.
