FUUUCK IM CUMMING FUUUUCK
I’m kinda excited, still paying full price for games this gen scares me, but first sale I’m more than likely gone pick it up
Understandable - I think this game is going to get a long lifecycle of development and updates, unlike the past couple - Activision desperately needs a W with COD lately and I think Black Ops 6 is shaping up to be it.
Some of the enemy design looks insane - a lot of inspiration drew from The Thing for sure. Really excited for it lmao.
Haven’t played a CoD game in probably a decade now and I haven’t missed them, but I have missed zombies terribly. But the last one I played was one of the very first so I have no idea what it’s like these days. Seems quite complicated.
Oh man it may actually be worth you jumping into this one. There’s an option to turn on assisted mode to help you do the Easter Egg and it’s launching with two maps - one being Terminus which has been dubbed the difficult map, the other is Liberty Falls which is the easier map to introduce new players to the map and have a more chill time.
Hey now I don’t want things easy! But I’d like to understand exactly what I’m doing at least, my pride won’t let me pick an easy option in a game so might as well count that out now .
Thought I read elsewhere someone saying something like this has rounds like the older versions, is that right? If there are a few here that’ll get it then I’ll definitely consider it, I’d much rather get to play with people I can actually communicate with.
We should definitely try organizing some zombie games on here. Sadly my group will more than likely be avoiding the new cod and I will get it around the tine of it’s first reasonable price drop/sale. I was playing the og black ops zombie on wii lol kino Der toten? and did all the nostalgia come rushing into me like an open floodgate.
kino Der tote
Ah yes that’s the one! Too many memories.
In classic Activision/COD fashion, nothing they do can remain singularly good.
CG Trailer for Map 2 dropped the other day and it was fucking exciting - Autumnal themed map, big corridors and stairwells, the return of Richtofen as a character? Well, optimism dropped dramatically when gameplay dropped…
the comments across the board will tell you everything. This map is just a reused multiplayer map with few to zero changes. What’s worse is Activision falsely advertised the map with Richtofen’s return - he’s not in it, the WunderWaffe isn’t in it (despite being in the CG trailer) and it’s not even fucking autumn.
Hugely disappointing and it really illustrates how much of a far cry we are from the glory days of BO1/WAW Zombies maps. My hype has went from 100 to 0 in such a short span that I’m somehow now reconsidering if I’ll purchase this at all, despite how good Map 1 looks.
Yeah that doesn’t look great to me and I haven’t played CoD for a long time, can totally see why you’d say it’s a reskinned MP map because it doesn’t look at all like anything I’d relate to zombies. How many maps will it start with, will we see more of another one before release?

Two to start and then it’s expected to be 4 follow up maps. The other map, Terminus, looks phenomenal tbf, but it’s just hard to justify when 50% of the offering is absolute trite. Especially for £60.
FYI, Terminus:

Well shit lmao community backlash on the state of Map 2 was so intense that Activision have taken the decision to get Treyarch back in the dev seats and bake the map for longer. Took to the CoD Podcast this week to announce they would be making atmospheric changes, altering lighting and reworking areas which looked too clean and ‘Warzone’ like. Also took this time to announce they’ve got the OG Zombies composer Kevin Sherwood back to record new songs for the maps.
Absolutely insane, to see a community band together and provide such vocal constructive criticism so loudly, enough so for even Activision to take note.
let’s be real with cod. warzone 2 underpreforms and zombies is the biggest reason I even want this game. this game sales is riding on, probably 30 percent zombies 10 percent story, 60 multiplayer
I caved and got BO6 for Zombies despite being innundated with veterinary bills, driving me into a deep cavern of debt!
And it was worth it!!!
I’m hoping there’s a black Friday sale, I’ll see you there if so

What’s the verdict? Like sad if things are looking good I may join in if a sale is on soon. We have a savings scheme in work and it’s getting paid out on Black Friday by chance!
So Zombies is brilliant. IMHO considering it’s modern COD, this is the best Zombies launch in a while. It’s better than Black Ops 4 for me considering it has classic perk systems, good range of guns grounded in realism and two solid maps - BO4 had Sci Fi operators and guns, robots, one good Zombies map and two remakes, and (despite Cold War being primarily Treyarch, though it wasn’t planned to be) BO4 was really our last proper Zombies experience.
Terminus is a great, challenging, atmospheric map and Liberty Falls is fun and easy, chilled out, one to hop on when you’re a little bored. Both are good, but Terminus really stands out.
This all being said, I know I personally will get 100+ hours out of this game’s singular Zombies mode. That’s less than 50p an hour for the price tag. I have played literally no other mode so I can’t comment on them lmao.
at some point we gotta do some zombies together. the few times we did cold war was a blast
For definite man, I loved playing Mauer Der Toten and Outbreak on CW with you guys, proper laugh.
I’m wondering how/if they’ll implement Outbreak in this one like they did with Cold War Season 1. Personally, if they do, I’d love to see it a bit more apocalyptic - keep the wide open maps and vistas, but add some craters, crumbled buildings, fire and destruction around the map to make survival tougher, and add a few boss varieties. The thought of all that actually makes me more hyped for the potential of “John Carpenter’s: Toxic Commando.”

All right consider me sold, I’ll see how things look around BF and if any sales are on. Around what time do you guys tend to play? My best chance tends to be late GMT so I’m hoping that might mix with some of you guys.
